Why Investors Are Backing Xsight Labs' $300M+ Round

World surrounded by data flows

Data centers are the backbone of the global digital economy, regardless of whether they are grounded on Earth or deployed in space, and whether they are powering massive AI clusters, Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), or core enterprise workloads. But as compute demands scale exponentially across every application, the network interconnect has become the primary bottleneck. Legacy network architectures are increasingly hitting physical and economic walls, plagued by unsustainable power consumption, high latency, stagnant efficiency limits, and restrictive software lock-ins that severely constrain modern data center performance.

Enter Xsight Labs.

With the announcement of a massive $300+ million funding round that pegs our valuation at $2.8 billion post-money, Xsight Labs has cemented its position as a critical infrastructure backbone for the AI and cloud era. Led by Fidelity, with participation from a roster of leading institutional investors, Led by Fidelity Management & Research Company, with participation from a stellar lineup of top-tier institutions, the round signals deep conviction in our vision. So, what is driving this level of conviction from global capital markets? Here is a deep dive into why investors are backing Xsight Labs as the future of intelligent networking.

Breaking the Hold of Closed, Legacy Architectures

For years, hyperscalers and edge operators have had to tolerate closed, proprietary chip designs. Xsight Labs offers a high-performance alternative rooted in open standards. Running native Linux, DPDK, and SONiC out of the box, Xsight’s hardware eliminates lock-in and allows engineering teams to deploy existing software stacks seamlessly with faster time to market and ROI.

“Xsight Labs' selection by SpaceX and other AI industry leaders is a testament to its differentiated silicon architecture, open and programmable platform, and exceptional leadership team. We at Key1 are confident that Xsight Labs is building one of the foundational semiconductor platforms for the AI era, globally.” said Danny Akerman, Co-Founder & Managing Partner, Key1 Capital.

This commitment to open environments extends to emerging industry standards like the Ultra Ethernet Consortium (UEC), positioning Xsight Labs directly at the center of next-generation infrastructure design.

Market-Proven Silicon: The E1 DPU and X2 Programmable Switch

Xsight’s product portfolio addresses the three most urgent constraints facing data center operators: scale, latency, and power.

  • Line-Rate Performance at Connection Scale: The E1 Data Processing Unit (DPU) is the first 800G DPU to ship and the first to complete SONiC-DASH Hero 800G validation. Capable of processing over 14 million connections per second at a full 800 Gbps line rate with zero packet drops, it features 64 Arm Neoverse N2 cores positioned directly in the data path to eliminate the typical “slow path” bottlenecks.
  • Reprogrammable Switching Efficiency: The X2 12.8 Tbps Ethernet Switch provides full software-defined flexibility. Operating at deterministic, sub-700ns latency under 200W, it cuts power consumption by up to 40% compared to legacy switches, enabling operators to add features via software without waiting for new silicon cycles.

Xsight sits at the intersection of two trends we've been tracking closely — the AI compute buildout and the limits of legacy network architecture,” said Ross Kestin, Co-Founder & CEO, Aliya Capital Partners. “We're thrilled to invest in a team building the infrastructure the next generation of data centers will actually need.

Capital follows customer adoption, and Xsight Labs has demonstrated expanding momentum across the global network ecosystem. The company’s E1 DPU and X2 switch have been selected by multiple global network operators to power edge and network infrastructure. Xsight’s silicon is also under evaluation in the labs of Tier-1 hyperscalers and securing a growing roster of design wins with service providers and OEMs.

Where the New Capital Goes Next

The new growth capital will be deployed to support Xsight’s rapid expansion:

  1. Accelerating Product Roadmaps: Expanding multi-generational switch and DPU lines to support UEC standards and higher bandwidth demands.
  2. Scaling High-Volume Production: Meeting production scale to fulfill large Tier-1 customer orders.
  3. Global Workforce Expansion: Growing R&D and customer support teams across the US, Israel, Europe, and Asia.

Investors are backing a fundamental shift in how global networks operate. By delivering hardware-accelerated crypto, low power footprints, and uncompromised line-rate 800G processing on open Linux environments, Xsight Labs is setting the benchmark for next-generation networking.

The round was led by Fidelity Management & Research Company, with participation from Aliya Capital Partners, Atreides Management, Artisan Partners, Battery Ventures, Diagonal Capital, Intel Capital, Key1 Capital, Maverick Capital, Sienna, T. Rowe Price, Union Group, and Valor Equity Partners.
