About Xsight Labs
Xsight Labs is building the open, programmable silicon that powers cloud and AI infrastructure. Our X-Series Ethernet switches deliver 12.8 Tbps at sub-700ns latency on an open ISA. Our E1 DPU runs 800 Gbps with 64 Arm cores in the data path. Both are in production today, with deployments at operators building modern infrastructure. We're a fabless team in Kiryat Gat, Boston, Raleigh-Durham, and the Bay Area.
Our teams are located and operate globally in Israel, the US, Europe, and Asia.
Description
About the Role
We are looking for a highly motivated Validation Engineer to join our validation team and contribute to the development of next-generation networking and connectivity solutions.
In this role, you will lead validation and characterization activities across silicon, hardware, and system-level platforms, supporting products from early bring-up through qualification and release. You will define validation methodologies, develop comprehensive test plans, execute complex test scenarios, and investigate system-level issues through detailed root-cause analysis.
A significant part of the role involves building Python-based automation frameworks for instrument control, test execution, data collection, and reporting. You will work with advanced laboratory equipment including oscilloscopes, BERTs, protocol analyzers, traffic generators, and thermal test systems to characterize system behavior, measure performance margins, and validate operation across voltage and temperature conditions.
You will analyze large volumes of validation data, develop automated data-processing workflows, and transform test results into actionable engineering insights. The role also includes working with SQL databases to manage validation data and ensure traceability throughout the product lifecycle.
Success in this position requires close collaboration with hardware, signal integrity, firmware, software, and system architecture teams while driving technical investigations and validation activities to successful completion.
Why This Role
- Opportunity to work on advanced networking and connectivity systems used in AI and data center infrastructure.
- Exposure to silicon, board-level, and system-level validation activities throughout the product lifecycle.
- Strong combination of hands-on laboratory work, automation development, and data-driven engineering.
- Close collaboration with multidisciplinary engineering teams across hardware, firmware, software, signal integrity, and system architecture.
